Our Yahoo! Fans Club was started on May 6th 2003. During that time, the fan club was basically started because of the non-existence of a full fledged Vijay Yahoo! Fan Club at a time when Yahoo! Fan Clubs of other celebrities were flourishing with more fans joining in. We started off that way but as we started growing, our goals changed. We gradually changed our opinion on what we wanted to achieve through this fan club!
We today pride to say that our Yahoo! Fan club is one of the largest ones in the Yahoo! Community for a Tamil celebrity (3600+ members)! Also we pride in saying that our Yahoo! Fans Club community is one of the most active communties among the fan clubs for other Tamil celebrities (We have been seeing 1000+ messages every month for a record! Our main focus has been on Vijay, his movies, his personal life, his career, etc. We have had members who have become so used to our Yahoo! Club that they have personally written stories that they would like Vijay to use for his forthcoming films! Also, the Yahoo! community has been a place where people with a similar interest (VIJAY) have made friends even though they haven't met each other physically in the real world!
We Though our fan club was the primary reason for the birth of this official fans site, we wholeheartedly support others who are in charge of Yahoo! Fan clubs that are dedicated exclusively for Vijay and Vijay only. We will also wholeheartedly support their efforts by listing their fanclubs here below as follows:
